My Philosophy

As a mental health counselor, my philosophy is grounded in person-centered, existential, and compassionate approaches. I believe that every individual has the innate capacity to grow, adapt, and thrive, regardless of their circumstances. My goal is to create a safe, non-judgmental space where clients can explore their thoughts, feelings, and experiences at their own pace. I am a survivor of the “troubled teen industry” and am passionate about helping others who have been in abusive and coercive organizations.

In my practice, I prioritize a person-centered approach that is tailored to each individual's unique needs, values, and goals. I believe that by building a strong therapeutic alliance based on trust, respect, and empathy, clients can gain a deeper understanding of themselves and their experiences, leading to personal growth and meaningful change. Through an existential lens, I help clients explore questions about the meaning and purpose of their lives, and work with them to find new ways to create meaning and purpose in the face of life's challenges. Overall, I strive to be a compassionate guide on each client's journey towards greater self-awareness, acceptance, and fulfillment.
